The Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC ) joined two existing buildings on the ECC campus. The design emphsis was to create an open space that enabled students to view and experience all the visual and performing arts and to be welcoming to the whole community.

The VPAC facility houses a "main stage" theater seating 650, a "black box" seating 120, and a music department with rehearsal halls. The art department houses all of the fine arts plus a gallery. The art department was designed with a dramatic two story north facing studio spaces which provide the ideal environment for the fine arts.
