Harper Community College has finished a significant addition to the liberal arts building that provides a new performance hall for music, drama and dance with an initial budget of $10,000,000.

The 450 seat theater will feature a full size stage with flytower amd complete stage rigging equipment. The 39,700 sf facility is designed to accommodate a variety of performance types, from thrust stage dramas to full orchestra and chorus performances.

The flexible theater design is aided by complete backstage amenities including scene shop, make-up and dressing rooms, green room, costume workshop and classrooms.The building opened for the first performances in January 2002.

A spacious lobby will greet the patron, which will interconnect to a proposed future 5000 sf art gallery. The gallery will have over 2500 square feet of lofty exhibit space. This art gallery addition will also contain long and short term art storage, a workroom lab, and office space.

This project represents two of three different new construction projects that BCA has currently developed for Harper College.
