BCA's design for the Algonquin Area Public Library Features an
exterior children's program area at the rear of the library. The
program area is linked to the front of the library with a paved
pathway that curves around the library.
In the summer of 2004, a pergola will provide a
shady spot to rest and to enjoy the view along the path. The wood
and metal latticework will provide support for climbing plants.
These design studies were done to enable us to analyze
the shadow patterns cast by the overhead latticework.
