Like many
libraries, the Lemont Public Library is running out of room. BCA
recently assisted the Lemont Public Library with an interior space
analysis to determine how much additional collection the library
can accommodate without adding a library addition.
Our interior
designers and library architects added over 1,000 linear feet
of shelving while still meeting the requirements of the Americans
With Disabilities Act. In addition to the increased shelving density,
two private study rooms were added. Careful attention to interior
design allowed all of the above to improvements to take place
with a loss of only 2 of the existing reader's seats. |

BCA
helps many libraries find the
most efficient way in which to use
their limited space. |
