The Helen Plum Memorial Library is out of space. The library's placement alongside Lombard's historic Lilacia Park provides wonderful views from the library toward the park. This relationship also limits the library's ability to expand their building as it is landlocked between the park and a busy street.

BCA is working with the Library, the Village of Lombard and the Lombard Park District to determine the best way to allow the Helen Plum Library to expand while preserving its unique relationship with the park. BCA is currently looking at a number of possibilities to solve the library's expansion problem and prepare for a future referendum.

The computer-generated mass modelst illustrate the current design concept from a number of different viewpoints.
