The Village
of McFarland Wisconsin had the opportunity to purchase a former
bank building for potential use as a new home for the McFarland
Public Library.
At the Villages
request, BCA provided structural, mechanical and environmental
analyses of the existing building to identify limitations that
might prevent its use as a library building.
In evaluating buildings potential, we looked at a number
of factors that had a direct impact on the buildings potential
to become an efficient and pleasing public library.
BCAs
library architects and interior designers evaluated how shelving
ranges would fit into the existing structural bays, what impact
ceiling heights would have on library lighting and what impact
the plan of the existing building would have on internal sight
lines.
