Rich Colors draw attention to the reference / information desk.

The location of this branch library provides a transition between a quiet residential neighborhood and a busy through street. Responding to this site, the library's overall size and selection of materials allow it to fit into the residential context while offering the image of a civic building to the busy street. The unusual shape of the building results from a triangular building site.

The interior spaces of this busy branch library include high-tech computer nodes and children's programming areas. There is also a fireplace reading room that offers a haven for adults seeking a quiet place to relax with a good book. The relaxed atmosphere of the adult reading room is enhanced by a view to a fountain in an adjacent, walled garden.

Computers are clustered in the center of the library to allow effective staff supervision from the nearby circulation and reference desks.

Residential colors and materials help this library relate to an adjacent neighborhood.
