We give the
same attention to the quality of the design of our smaller libraries
as we offer our largest projects. This 5500 square foot addition
will double the size of the existing Watseka Public Library. We
designed this addition in a manner that enabled the construction
to be phased to allow the library to remain in operation during
nearly the entire construction process. The library was forced
to close for only 4 days.
Careful attention to detailing and
an appropriate selection of materials will result in an addition
that is exciting yet still works within the architectural context
of the existing library.
The large north windows will fill
the children's library with light and will give young readers
a pleasant and secure place in which to explore the world of books.
