the years, the original village hall with its arches and tower became
the symbol of Algonquin and a landmark in the community. The design
of the new facility reinforces the sense of place unique to Algonquin
by recognizing the historical aspects of the original building.
The solution responds to the historical context by recalling the
original Village Hall in selected forms and materials.
