Phase Two improvements include a new 1,800 square foot entry, lounge,
and juice bar provides a dynamic new front entrance and additional
member amenities for the facility. In conjunction with this work
is the redevelopment of neighboring Plunkett Park, for which BCA
designed a new 1,000 square foot concessions and restroom facility.
Phase One included
a 3,000 square foot, two story addition and a 4,200 square foot
interior remodeling. The new construction added a multipurpose
room for expanded and new programs. A lower level addition also
consolidated and improved the child care facilities. The Kids
Plus area is the second highest usage in the facility. Improvements
in this service encourage and support the growth of new family
memberships.
All of the improvements
were made while the facility remained open during the entire
construction phase. The first phase addition and remodeling was
the result of a Space Analysis Study completed by BCA in February
1998. The study outlined facility solutions as part of a comprehensive
master plan to improve and maintain return on investment of the
facility and improve customer service. |
