The Itasca Park District commissioned BCA to provide professional
architectural services for an addition and remodeling to their existing
recreation facility at 350 E. Irving Park Road in Itasca, Illinois.
The 10,000
square foot addition includes a new entry, control counter, multipurpose
room, and administraton offices on the first floor with a new fitness
center and related amenities on the second floor.Remodeling included creating a babysitting
room, converting the existing fitness center into a senior/teen
space, upgrading the existing locker room ventilation, and installing
new interior finishes. Site improvements include new parking,
an entry plaza, and a storm water detention area. The exterior
color scheme of the existing structure has also been updated to
match the neutral colors of the new addition.
BCA also provided landscape architecture services
for the project.
As a result of these improvements, membership
grew by 40%, facility usage increased by 38%, babysitting usage
grew by 43%, and fitness revenue increased by 48%. |
